PROJECTS
Gardening is how I relax. It’s another form of creating and playing with colors. – Oscar de la Renta
ANNE FENWICK & GARDEN VIGNETTES
I have over twenty years of experience designing gardens for clients across the South Shore. Gardening has always been intuitive to me. I grew up in Chappaqua, New York, where days were spent barefoot outside, exploring the wild woodland and in the beautiful gardens surrounding our home. My mother was an avid gardener who planted for all the seasons, swaths of spring bulbs including parrot tulips, hillsides of rhododendrons, and masses of roses. She inherited a passion for gardening from her German mother. My goal is to bring a love of gardens and gardening to more people.

I attribute my success to a thorough assessment of the site, including the existing architecture and light and wind patterns, my extensive horticultural knowledge, and my strong attention to detail. I am committed to sustainable practices, including using organic compost and taking into account the native environment and "micro-climates" within each setting.
My clients have been pleased that my gardens are not only beautiful but are thriving and timeless. I carefully consider appropriate plant material, and I design with the future in mind so that gardens do not 'outgrow' their space. My designs are simple, classic, and proportional. They appeal to any budget and yet can always be embellished as desired, depending on the client's vision.
